Samsung introduces F480 TOUCHWIZ phone

samsung touchwiz phoneSamsung Electronics, a leading mobile phone and telecommunication provider, announced that it has sold more than half a million units of Samsung’s TouchWiz Phone otherwise known as F480 in 10 months which created a stir in the global market for touch screen mobile phones.

“The Middle East represented a great contributor to our record sales of the F480 over the past several months. Samsung sees great growth potential in the touch screen market, especially in this region, and we will continue to focus our R&D efforts and marketing resources to develop this category” said Sandeep Saihgal, general manager of mobile phones at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

With riding strong sales of the TOUCHWiZ phone, Samsung sold more than 10 million units in its touch screen lineup, which is equivalent to achieving a 25 percent share of the global market for full touch screen phones estimated at 37 million units.

The Samsung F480 combines a new and unique TOUCHWiZ user interface in a slim and premium form. Despite its slim 11.6 mm body, the F480 also boasts all the multimedia functions you would expect from a premium Samsung mobile. This includes 240 MB of internal music memory, a memory card with up to 8GB storage, an integrated FM radio, a 5 mega pixel camera featuring auto focus and a CMOS video lens.
